Software Engineer

Salary: $82000 - 114000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science or a closely related discipline 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and/or training Strong proficiency in C++, Java, and JavaScript, with a solid grasp of software development practices Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming and engineering principles Ability to learn new technologies and methods quickly Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Commitment to code quality and a test-first mindset Excellent communication and collaboration skills Responsibilities: Build and maintain our Apex Server application, including new features, enhancements, defect corrections, and unit tests Partner with our team lead or product owner to resolve issues as they arise Evaluate development requests and choose the most effective implementation approach Work with internal teams and customers to gather information needed to deliver software that meets user needs Support customers and internal teams in resolving issues within the software Assist other developers with questions about processes, coding standards, algorithms, and related topics Communicate tasks, ideas, and progress clearly to developers, management, internal teams, and customers Review input requirements from multiple sources and determine the best path to satisfy them Inspect code written by others to ensure it aligns with company, department, and team standards Carry out additional duties as assigned Technologies: Apex Business Intelligence Cloud Support Java JavaScript Network Product Owner Security DevOps More: We are Vantage Compute, a leading cloud video platform company focused on video security, business intelligence, and loss prevention.
