Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $108000 - 137000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a closely related discipline. We look for at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience. We need strong expertise in Java, C#, or a comparable programming language. You should have a solid grasp of object-oriented programming and modern development practices. You must be able to learn new technologies and working methods quickly. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are essential. We expect a strong quality mindset and a test-first approach. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required. Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools to speed up day-to-day engineering work is required. This role does not offer sponsorship or immigration-related support at this time. Responsibilities: We want you to independently design, develop, and maintain software, including major architectural changes, complex feature work, performance improvements, and critical bug fixes. You will lead substantial development efforts with minimal supervision, including scoping, planning, prioritizing, and coordinating delivery. You will partner with Product Management, stakeholders, and senior engineers to build and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will work with different departments and, at times, customers to gather key information and resolve complex use cases. You will mentor and support other developers, especially Software Engineers and Software Engineer IIs, on coding practices, algorithms, and processes. You will help guide technical conversations across teams and influence decisions on tools, frameworks, architecture standards, and methodologies. You will review code from junior engineers and promote maintainable, scalable, standards-aligned solutions. You will assess requirements from both technical and non-technical sources to create robust solutions that support broader business needs. You will take an active role in Agile practices and help identify bottlenecks and workflow improvements. You will follow through from development through testing, deployment verification, monitoring, and final delivery. You will communicate clearly through code reviews, design documents, email, meetings, and Jira, adapting your message for technical and non-technical audiences. You will use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and LLM-based assistants to accelerate design, coding, review, debugging, and documentation while maintaining quality. You will perform additional duties as assigned.
