Software Development Engineer, Alexa Communications

Salary: $77,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements: We require 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. We require 2+ years of non-internship experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling for new or existing systems. We require experience programming in at least one software development language. We prefer 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification. Responsibilities: We partner closely with product and design teams to influence overall product strategy. We collaborate with team members to assess design approaches, prototype new technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility. We build highly scalable, reliable, and available distributed services on AWS Cloud. We contribute to operational excellence by identifying issues constructively and proposing solutions. We write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews. We work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software. We continuously identify new ways to solve challenging problems. We build agentic APIs that deliver low-latency, low-cost, highly reliable, and highly scalable cloud services and device software solutions.
