📋 Description Design, develop, and maintain scalable web apps and APIs with Ruby on Rails Move fluently between Rails and other frameworks/languages per client Architect and implement service-oriented and microservices-based solutions Communicate with clients to demonstrate and receive feedback Review legacy software to remediate technical debt Work in an agile team with weekly standups 🎯 Requirements 5+ years building production web apps with Ruby on Rails ActiveRecord, Rails conventions, background jobs (Sidekiq/Resque), DB optimization RESTful APIs design and third-party integrations PostgreSQL proficiency Go and Kafka are desirable 3+ years with another major framework/language (Django/Python, Node.js, Java) Modern frontend: React or Vue Independent with ownership across engagements 🎁 Benefits Remote-first culture, flexible work schedule, and autonomy Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision) and 401k Competitive salary with bonus structure Paid parental leave Opportunity to build something big and exciting
