About the role
Design and maintain scalable backend services using Rust and build gRPC services for inter-service communication.
📋 Description Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Rust Architect and implement modular backend solutions across workspace crates (model, domain, data, service) Build gRPC services for inter-service communication Build and optimize data access layers for relational, time-series and graph databases Work in an agile team with daily standups and weekly meetings Engage in code reviews and demos with the client Contribute to observability and monitoring using Tracing and OpenTelemetry 🎯 Requirements 5+ years backend experience with at least 2-3 yrs producing Rust systems Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and actor concurrency Experience designing and implementing gRPC APIs; familiarity with Tonic a plus Relational, time-series, and graph databases;TimescaleDB, Neo4j preferred Strong testing with unit and integration tests; Cucumber a plus JWT-based authentication and authorization Understanding of scalable distributed system design Nice to have: Tokio async runtime 🎁 Benefits Remote-first culture with flexible work schedule Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision) and 401k Paid parental leave Autonomy and ownership at a growing company The opportunity to build something big and exciting
