Site Reliability / Operations Engineer

Salary: $98000 - 157000 per year Requirements: We require an active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship for consideration. We are looking for a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. We require Security+ certification. We need 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, DevOps, software development, or a similar technical field. We expect experience with Linux operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or comparable distributions. We require strong Bash scripting ability for automation and system administration tasks. We look for hands-on experience with the ELK Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana dashboard creation, and Logstash or other ingestion pipelines. We value familiarity with system monitoring, log aggregation, and operational analytics. We expect a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and troubleshooting approaches. We need strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred: experience with Python or other scripting languages. Preferred: experience supporting cloud or hybrid environments. Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices. Preferred: experience working in DoD, Intelligence Community, or other classified environments. Preferred: experience working in Agile development. Responsibilities: We develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments. We create and enhance Bash scripts to automate system administration, application log collection, and metrics visualization. We build and sustain job orchestration tools for data flows. We design, implement, and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Kibana. We support Elasticsearch data ingestion, indexing, and search optimization. We monitor system performance and identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes. We partner with system administrators, developers, and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions. We assist with log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational reporting. We document automation workflows, procedures, and technical configurations. We participate in system testing, deployment, and sustainment activities. We contribute to continuous improvement efforts in monitoring, observability, and automation.
