About the role

Salary: $119000 - 157000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or a related scientific field with 2 years of relevant experience (e.g., programming technologies) OR Associates degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or a related scientific field with 4 years of relevant experience (e.g., programming technologies) Maintain required access credentials or unescorted access standards as applicable, as well as a favorable medical examination and/or testing related to position responsibilities For the Sr Simulator Software Engineer role: Bachelors degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or a related scientific field with 5 years of relevant experience (e.g., programming technologies) OR Associates degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or a related scientific field with 7 years of relevant experience (e.g., programming technologies) Maintain required access credentials or unescorted access standards as applicable, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing related to position responsibilities Responsibilities: Develop and modify simulation software logic and dynamic models for use at a nuclear power plants Main Control Room Simulator Maintain simulator software and implement minor modifications and enhancements with minimal supervision Work independently while providing advisory support to Constellations Training Department regarding simulator technology Collaborate with project managers and Clean Energy Center (CEC) engineers to ensure project compliance Participate in planning, designing, building, or managing simulator solutions for CEC projects Adjust and document simulation software logic and dynamic models to align with business objectives Manage software configuration effectively Identify risks and issues impacting projects and participate in finding technological solutions based on contemporary trends and market product availability Provide secondary support to other simulators and participate in projects across the CEC fleet as needed Engage with business partners to gather insights, analyze requirements, and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that meet operational needs Execute other assigned duties as directed by management or pursue company policy, including emergency response and departmental coverage activities Technologies: Support Fortran Git Network Visual Studio Windows More: At Constellation, the largest provider of clean, carbon-free energy in the nation, we are dedicated to our mission of advancing the transition to a sustainable energy future.
