Senior Relay Engineer

Salary: $124000 - 137000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Engineering Technology, along with 6 years of relevant industry experience Associates degree in a technical discipline with 8 years of related industry experience High school diploma or GED with 9 years of experience in the power or related industry, including 6 years at the exempt level Strong understanding of engineering processes and systems applicable to the specific functional area Ability to meet minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as necessary, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing based on position duties Hands-on experience with apparatus testing or relays is desired Experience in field work is considered a plus Responsibilities: Engage in complex technical and engineering problem-solving to support power plant operations while making responsible technical decisions Deliver technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues, having completed relevant skills training to develop an expert level of knowledge Mentor other engineers by sharing key knowledge and skills Manage engineering tasks and issues comprehensively as assigned by supervision, applying general engineering principles Ensure accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects Propose equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques aimed at improving performance, simplifying construction, reducing costs, correcting design or material flaws, or complying with regulatory changes Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management, which may include department duty coverage and support for outage activities Technologies: Support More: At Constellation, we pride ourselves on being the foremost producer of clean, carbon-free energy in the nation, passionately committed to accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.
