Senior Software Engineer II Virtualization

📋 Description Design, develop, test, and implement the core virtualization stack for Droplet. Collaborate with Observability to collect metrics and improve products. Engage in peer reviews for changes to DO systems. Contribute to retrospectives for agile process improvements. Develop and lead test plans to ensure reliability and prevent incidents. Maintain the VM stack and accelerate GPU-enabled virtualization for AI workloads. 🎯 Requirements Linux OS expertise; comfortable developing and operating software on Linux. Deep experience with QEMU, KVM, Linux kernel and libvirt; strong C. Proven problem solving at scale; drive homogenization across the fleet. Strong security mindset; proactive about security best practices. Excellent cross-team collaboration with engineers across teams. Debian packaging experience. Go, Python, or Ruby experience.
