Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $99000 - 111000 per year Requirements: We require 4+ years of professional software engineering experience. We require experience building React front-end applications, including component-based design, state handling, and API integration. We require full-stack development experience with modern back-end frameworks, especially Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET, including APIs, services, and enterprise applications. We require the ability to lead the design and delivery of complex or ambiguous systems with limited direction. We require strong technical judgment when balancing performance, scalability, security, and delivery tradeoffs. We require advanced experience with source control systems, branching approaches, and code review practices. We require practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. We require the ability to establish and maintain strong testing, documentation, and code quality standards. We require strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders. We prefer experience in consulting or client-facing environments. We prefer familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern application architectures. We prefer experience in natural resource management or environmental services. We prefer experience designing distributed systems or microservices architectures. We prefer a strong background in relational database design and performance tuning. We prefer exposure to Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models. We prefer experience contributing to technical proposals, estimates, or pre-sales work. Responsibilities: We contribute across the full application stack, including front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, integrations, and database layers using modern development frameworks. We design and build modern front-end applications and user interfaces with React and related technologies. We design, optimize, and maintain normalized relational database schemas independently. We uphold high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and overall solution integrity. We promote source control best practices, including code reviews and CI/CD pipeline integration. We help analyze requirements, refine high-level needs, and convert them into actionable development plans. We identify opportunities to improve technical solutions, delivery methods, and client outcomes. We support estimation, scoping, and proposal development efforts. We lead complex technical work and help solve ambiguous business challenges. We provide technical leadership, collaboration, and mentorship while maintaining strong client relationships.
