Senior Remote Sensing Software Engineer

Salary: $94000 - 214000 per year Requirements: We need at least 8 years of experience in remote sensing, image or signal processing, or GEOINT data exploitation. We look for experience with orbital mechanics, satellite characterization, domain-specific applications, or SDA operational workflows. We require hands-on experience with Python, scientific Python libraries, or other object-oriented languages such as C++ or JavaScript. We expect experience designing for large-scale software environments, including CUDA, HPC, or cloud platforms. We value experience with machine learning systems for imagery processing, target detection, tracking, or object classification. We require experience administering CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker, or Jenkins. An active TS/SCI clearance is required, along with willingness to complete a polygraph exam. A bachelors degree in a STEM field is required. Preferred qualifications include a masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field; a doctorate is an added advantage. Responsibilities: We will have you architect end-to-end remote sensing processing systems for EO/IR missions. You will lead the development of radiometric and spectral response models. You will oversee advanced imaging methods such as multi-frame super-resolution, deconvolution, target phenomenology detection, and low-SNR enhancement. You will direct ML-driven anomaly detection, behavior classification, and object discrimination frameworks. You will design multi-sensor fusion pipelines that integrate GEOINT, Radar, RF, and optical data using Bayesian or machine learning approaches. You will lead trajectory estimation and 3D kinematic modeling, including IOD, parallax exploitation, and uncertainty quantification. You will architect scalable scientific computing solutions using Python, C++, CUDA, HPC clusters, or cloud-native platforms. You will mentor junior engineers and help define technical roadmaps with client and mission leadership.
