Location: Remote Travel Requirements: 4-5 weeks per year Job Summary The Senior Software Engineer brings deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable software platforms across infrastructure, tools, and development methodologies. In this role, you’ll help build Nimbus Data Systems ’s next-generation unified platform using Python 3, Google Ad Manager, Elasticsearch, and AWS. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS across multiple technical domains Develop scalable, high-performance solutions that follow modern software design principles and meet business requirements Contribute to architectural discussions and drive implementation of clean, reusable solutions across services Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as planning, retrospectives, and story grooming Conduct thorough code reviews, share technical feedback, and contribute to continuous code quality improvements Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security to support high-quality software delivery Mentor peers and junior engineers through thoughtful collaboration and knowledge sharing. Use AI-based development tools to build high-quality, high-performance AdTech products. What We Need 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering focused on building enterprise-grade applications 4+ years developing scalable, high-performance, high availability microservices 4+ years designing cloud-native architectures and implementing infrastructure as code 4+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries 2+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular Advanced proficiency in Python 3, with expert-level knowledge required (a coding assessment will be administered to evaluate this proficiency). Desired Qualifications Hands-on experience with observability tools and performance monitoring platforms, including New Relic and Sentry Elasticsearch experience or other cloud-native search technologies Background in containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Amazon ECS, and Kubernetes Familiarity with cloud security concepts and protocols including OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, data encryption, hashing, and secret management Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product, DevOps, and Security Understanding of digital advertising ecosystems and platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Kevel, Sizmek, and DV360 Awareness of healthcare compliance standards and regulatory frameworks like HIPAA and PHI Experience developing software with a focus on customer feedback and iterative improvement What You'll Need to Succeed Self-motivation, strong ambition, and interest in directly impacting business results. Base Salary Band: $88,299.55-$164,000 Compensation : At Nimbus Data Systems , we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards.
