What you’ll do As Senior Manager, DevOps, you will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of the DevOps function to improve engineering productivity, accelerate the path from code commit to production release, and strengthen the reliability of Northwind Robotics ’s SaaS platform. More specifically, you will: Own the DevOps roadmap across CI/CD, infrastructure automation, release workflows, and environment management with a clear focus on engineering velocity, reliability, and operational efficiency. Lead the DevOps team while partnering closely with Engineering, SRE, Platform, and Product teams to remove production bottlenecks and raise automation standards across the organization. Cultivate resilient multi-cloud practices across AWS and GCP, driving infrastructure as code (IaC), Kubernetes-based delivery, and modern operational tooling. Strengthen observability, uptime discipline, and incident response while leading cloud cost and capacity optimization efforts as our platform scales. Cultivate team capabilities, manage project plans, and build a high-accountability engineering culture that scales fluidly with company needs. Evaluate and implement AI powered DevOps tools to improve deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes. Leverage AI and machine learning solutions for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis. Establish governance, security, and compliance standards for AI enabled infrastructure and operations. Monitor emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. Who you are A Technically Credible Leader: You are a hands-on manager who moves fluidly between high-level strategy, cloud architecture, and day-to-day execution. Collaborative & Culture-Driven: You thrive on building high-performing, cross-functional cultures and energize teams across DevOps and partner engineering functions. An Influential Communicator: You easily align priorities, influence stakeholders, and translate complex operational needs into clear business impact. Forward-thinking DevOps leader with hands-on experience leveraging AI-powered tools and automation to improve infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, incident response, and team productivity. Your skill-set Must-haves: 6+ years of experience leading teams in DevOps, cloud operations, or platform engineering, with direct accountability for performance and delivery. A strong background operating large-scale SaaS platforms utilizing AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems. Practical experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), scripting (Python or Go), observability platforms, and incident management. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools for code generation, documentation, knowledge management, and operational support. Proven ability to evaluate emerging AI technologies and drive adoption of practical AI solutions that improve team productivity and operational outcomes. Nice-to-haves: Multi-cloud environment experience supporting live migrations or cloud transformations across both AWS and GCP. A strong, hands-on foundational background as a DevOps, infrastructure, or software engineer prior to transitioning into leadership. Experience navigating fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments or startups where speed and scale intersect.
