Senior Java Developer

About the Role We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our team and build scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications. If you have strong hands-on experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices , this opportunity could be a great fit for you. You’ll work closely with architects, product owners, and fellow developers to design technical solutions, develop backend services, and continuously improve application performance and reliability. Work Schedule & Work Set up: Set Up: Onsite | Arthaland BGC Taguig Schedule: Mid Shift Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot • Build scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions for enterprise applications • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers to define and implement technical solutions • Integrate third-party systems and internal services using modern API standards • Optimize application performance and implement robust error handling and logging • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following development best practices, including TDD/BDD • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering excellence • Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge with the team • Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection requirements Required Qualifications • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development • Strong proficiency in Java 11+ and Spring Boot • Familiarity with Spring Cloud • Proven experience in API design, RESTful services, and microservices architecture • Strong knowledge of JavaScript • Experience working with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL • Hands-on experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps • Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills Technical Stack Backend – Required: Java, Spring Boot – 5+ years Frontend – Required: JavaScript Frontend – Preferred: Vue.js – basic experience is acceptable Database – Required: SQL / PostgreSQL Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP Containerization: Docker / Kubernetes CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
