Senior Information Security Engineer

Salary: $114000 - 165000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience Graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience Alternatively, 10 years of prior related experience without a degree Active TS/SCI clearance required Ability to obtain and maintain DOD 8140 certification (or NIST 1000-181) within 6 months of employment Preferred: Recent CI Polygraph (within 3 years) Familiarity with emerging technologies such as cloud computing, containerization, and microservices along with their security implications Responsibilities: Apply advanced systems security engineering techniques to the design, development, and integration of secure systems and networks Collaborate with Government clients and internal teams to determine and implement security needs throughout the system lifecycle Design and manage security controls and configurations for both Linux and Windows systems, including hardening and vulnerability assessments Prepare and manage Certification and Accreditation documentation to achieve security authorizations Conduct Static Application Security Testing (SAST) for compliance with Application Security and Development STIG Configure and manage logging for security events in Linux and Windows systems for monitoring Analyze security logs and alerts, investigating incidents and implementing risk mitigation strategies Utilize security tools like IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines for system hardening and configuration management Implement incident response plans to address security incidents efficiently Conduct rigorous analysis, including functional, timeline, and requirements studies Contribute to Information Security Engineering activities such as security controls compliance and secure architecture development Identify security threats and vulnerabilities to networks, systems, and applications, supporting related engineering tasks Provide guidance and training to other employees and act as an Information Assurance liaison across engineering and security disciplines Develop and present security training programs that reflect the latest standards and approaches Technologies: Cloud Linux Security Windows microservices Support Splunk More: At L3Harris, we are committed to fostering a culture that emphasizes our values, dedication to the community, and excellence in our work.
