Senior Full Stack AI Developer (Python & React)

Salary: $118,700 - 118,700 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education and experience. At least 6 years of significant software development experience. Strong Python backend development skills and proficiency with Angular or React. Backend development experience with FastAPI and proficiency in SQL. Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Kiro. Experience with automated backend and UI testing, plus familiarity with observability tools and practices. Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, including services such as Amazon S3, Snowflake, and BigQuery; Docker and Kubernetes; Terraform or other infrastructure as code; CI/CD; and observability. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions; a proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to drive change. Strong experience using Git for version control, code review, and collaboration. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Strong data engineering skills; hands-on experience with Databricks technologies such as Unity Catalog and Delta Lake is an asset. Good understanding of generative AI concepts and tools, including prompting, agentic frameworks, evaluations, guardrails, RAG, embeddings and vector databases, model fine-tuning, graph databases with LLMs, MCP, and reasoning models. Knowledge of MLOps best practices is an asset. Candidates located in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English because of frequent collaboration with English-speaking colleagues across Canada. Responsibilities: Integrate AI solutions that improve business operations, using technologies such as FastAPI and ensuring robustness, performance, scalability, reliability, and observability. Coordinate with IT, operations, and data science teams to integrate AI solutions with existing insurance systems and align technical requirements and deployment plans. Work with data scientists and analysts to ensure solutions address business needs, use high-quality data, and support strategic goals. Keep current with software engineering and AI developments, applying new methods—including Angular or React front-end development—and sharing knowledge with the team. Lead end-to-end feature delivery across data pipelines, models, APIs and services, and front-end interfaces. Use CI/CD tools and agile practices to deliver features and updates quickly and reliably. Mentor squad members, provide technical leadership, and influence the technical roadmap.
