Senior Developer Advocate

Salary: $156,000 - 166,400 per year Requirements: Hands-on development or systems analysis experience in an Agile, full-stack team environment Strong collaboration skills and the ability to represent developers needs Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices Familiarity with open-source and inner-source repositories Ability to influence product roadmaps based on developer needs Experience with DevAssist tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini Code Assist Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to quality Willingness and ability to work on a W-2 basis Experience with open-source communities preferred Video-editing skills preferred Responsibilities: Champion developers and promote engineering best practices across teams Create practical documentation that helps developers adopt tools and platforms Educate and support engineers through posts, demonstrations, and presentations that make complex topics accessible Encourage and guide the use of cloud services and DevOps practices, including CI/CD Assess and advocate for new features and emerging technologies that can improve developer productivity Partner with product teams and share developer needs and feedback to inform roadmaps Engage engineering communities and support knowledge-sharing and hands-on learning Create and edit videos and screen-share walkthroughs to demonstrate workflows and provide guidance Technologies: AWS Azure CI/CD Cloud Copilot DevOps GitHub Support More: We are seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to improve the developer experience through education, tooling advocacy, and community engagement, while helping engineering teams apply modern practices, cloud platforms, and DevAssist tools. The role is hybrid, with five onsite days every other week in either Durham, North Carolina, or Merrimack, New Hampshire. The W-2 hourly rate is $75–$80.
