Senior Data Scientist

Salary: $60,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements: Masters degree in computer science, mathematics, AI, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. At least 5 years of experience applying data science and developing products, with a strong focus on NLP and machine learning. Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) with APIs and using evaluation techniques. Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining software in cloud environments; AWS experience is strongly preferred. Production experience with Python, GitHub, AWS, and CI/CD tools. Expert-level understanding of machine learning theory. Ability to address loosely defined problems with creative approaches. Ability to collaborate and coach junior team members, with enthusiasm for teamwork. Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills. Must be eligible to work in Canada; Canadian work experience is not required. Responsibilities: Design and develop end-to-end AI solutions for real business challenges. Lead the exploration, implementation, and testing of new NLP solutions. Turn complex, unstructured data into actionable insights and outcomes. Analyze software usage patterns and recommend improvements. Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and designers to build software in AWS. Serve as a technical lead and go-to resource for our data science team. Coach and mentor junior team members. Lead and uphold data science best practices in coding, peer review, experimentation, and testing.
