Senior Automation Test Developer

Salary: $85,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements: At least 5 years of professional experience developing web and mobile test automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Maestro, or QTP/UFT. Ability to design, develop, and execute automated tests using Java, C#, Visual Basic, or Python. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, including Azure, Jenkins, and Git. Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Copilot to support automation development. In-depth understanding of software quality assurance practices and methodologies, including software development lifecycles and product verification and validation. Knowledge of relational databases, tool APIs, and tool integrations, with the ability to design and implement custom APIs between tools. Broad knowledge of software development, quality assurance, testing, auditing, configuration management, and regulatory affairs. Understanding of systems, industry and regulatory practices, and product risk assessment. Experience advising on software development documentation techniques and the use of documentation, problem management, and version management tools for test execution and management. Strong analytical and documentation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently and make decisions suited to business and technical needs. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels; willingness to learn new technologies and work as part of a team. Preferred: Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and data-driven automation frameworks. Preferred: Experience integrating AppliTools into automation frameworks. Preferred: Ability to create reusable, low-maintenance test automation scripts and apply automation best practices to improve processes. Responsibilities: Provide software quality assurance services for projects and systems, and support the development of work-unit methodologies and applicable regulatory compliance. Define and analyze product validation for new or modified applications. Investigate operational and process issues with engineering and technical colleagues. Guide junior personnel in setting up and performing quality controls; develop and apply controls for in-house and vendor products. Design advanced software automation frameworks and test scripts that work across system environments and interfaces. Coordinate with the offshore testing team as a U.S.-based liaison, helping resolve occasional issues and collaborating on testing strategy. Handle tasks the offshore team cannot perform, including staging data, provisioning VDIs, and whitelisting IP addresses. Participate in releases outside standard business hours, estimated at approximately 5% of the role.
