Senior Android Developer

Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.Lead the architecture and implementation of new features for our VPN application.Work extensively with Android networking and VPN technologies, network interfaces,DNS, routing, connectivity, and traffic management.Design solutions for complex networking scenarios such as Wi-Fi/mobile networktransitions, connection failures, captive portals, DNS issues, and intermittent connectivity.Work closely with backend, networking, QA, product, and security teams to deliverend-to-end features.Investigate and resolve complex production issues using logs, crash reports, performancemetrics, and debugging tools.Participate in technical design and architecture discussions and help establishengineering best practices.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to other engineers.Mentor junior and mid-level Android developers.Contribute to improving development processes, testing practices, CI/CD, releaseprocesses, and overall engineering quality.Requirements:7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-onAndroid development experience.Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.Deep understanding of the Android SDK, Android application lifecycle, and modernAndroid development practices.Strong experience with Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture,or similar approaches.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, sockets, routing, and networkconnectivity concepts.Experience troubleshooting complex networking and connectivity issues on Android.Strong understanding of Android security principles, secure storage, encryption,authentication, and certificate/TLS concepts.Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Experience writing unit tests and UI/integration tests.Strong understanding of Android performance optimization and memory management.Experiance with international teams - preferably APAC.Experience working on applications distributed through the Google Play Store.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience developing VPN, proxy, firewall, network security, or privacy-focusedapplications.Experience working with VPN protocols such as OpenVPN, IKEv2/IPSec, V2Ray,WireGuard or similar technologies.Experience with native Android development using NDK/C/C++.Experience analyzing network traffic using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similartools.Experience with Android security hardening and application protection.Experience with CI/CD systems and automated Android build and release pipelines.What we offer:A challenging role in an international technology environment.The opportunity to work on modern mobile applications used by real users.Collaboration with experienced engineers from different countries and cultural backgrounds.A high level of autonomy and influence on technical decisions.Opportunities for professional growth and expanding your technical expertise.A flexible working environment and remote work opportunities.Multisport card.Private healthcare.
