Scala Developer

Salary: $68,000 - 108,000 per year Requirements: 5–7 years of hands-on Scala development experience. Strong hands-on experience with Angular, preferably Angular 14 or later. Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular Material. Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, including query optimization and database performance tuning. Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications. Experience with Scala frameworks or libraries such as Akka, Play Framework, Cats, ZIO, or similar. Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and enterprise integrations. Experience with Git and CI/CD, preferably Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting defects, and performing root-cause analysis. Strong Agile/Scrum experience and ability to work with distributed teams. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and improve enterprise applications using Scala, Angular, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. Build and maintain scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices. Create responsive, reusable Angular UI components with TypeScript and Angular Material. Develop and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, stored procedures, and database integrations. Connect applications with enterprise systems, pricing engines, APIs, and data platforms. Work with Scala-based services and pricing or calculation engines, including troubleshooting and enhancements. Contribute to solution design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions. Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment. Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, production troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. Mentor engineers and promote coding standards, reusable components, and engineering best practices.
