Remote Senior ETL/Hadoop Developer

Salary: $92,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements: Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, documentation protocols, and change management Proficiency with version-control tools, debugging tools, desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, and flowcharting tools such as Visio Thorough knowledge of information technology and computer systems, plus an in-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle Proficiency programming in more than one object-oriented language Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, critical-thinking, communication, and independent decision-making skills Ability to work flexibly as part of a team, manage tasks independently, take ownership, learn from feedback, and adapt to a changing environment At least 5 years of related work experience, including professional technical design and coding experience in the IT industry A related bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience Experience with SQL, Spark, PySpark, ETL, Kafka, Python, ETL techniques, Hadoop, and Spark Responsibilities: Develop code for moderately complex system designs, programs, and APIs across platforms; enhance existing programs and build new ones Review other developers code and contribute to programming standards Prepare technical specifications, identify subsystem integration points, and report gaps in system or functional requirements and their impacts Collaborate with developers, analysts, project managers, and vendors; estimate the time and resources needed for programming projects and seek review of estimates Perform unit testing and debugging, and establish test conditions based on code specifications Support applications through the product development life cycle and document migration requirements Research vendor products and alternatives, including conducting gap analyses and comparisons Apply IT controls and standard corporate practices to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data Technologies: ETL Hadoop Support Kafka Python PySpark SQL Spark AI More: We are seeking a remote Senior ETL Hadoop Developer for a contract assignment with one of our premier healthcare services clients in Jacksonville, Florida.
