Remote Data Engineer (Snowflake, Spark)

Salary: $92,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements: Related bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience At least 5 years of related experience, including professional technical design and coding in the IT industry Experience with Snowflake and Spark/Scala Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocols, and change management Proficiency with version-control tools such as Git, GNU, RCS, SCCS, CVS, SVN, Mercurial, or Monotone Proficiency in more than one object-oriented programming language; database experience may include SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, dBase, or MS Access Proficiency with standard desktop applications such as MS Suite, flowcharting tools such as Visio, and debugging tools In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to assess alternatives and present solutions aligned with business objectives Ability to manage tasks independently, take ownership, use constructive feedback, show initiative, make effective decisions, communicate technical information clearly, adapt to change, and contribute as a flexible team player Preferred: experience in domains such as healthcare or finance Preferred: experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies Responsibilities: Develop, program, and code information technology solutions Document detailed system specifications; participate in unit testing; maintain planned and unplanned internally developed applications; and evaluate and performance-test purchased products Incorporate IT controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and their data Lead efforts, oversee work results, train other developers, and serve as a technical resource Technologies: Cassandra GNU Git MySQL Oracle PostgreSQL SQL Scala Snowflake Spark SVN AI ARM More: We are seeking a Data Engineer for a remote contract assignment supporting one of our premier healthcare services clients in Jacksonville, Florida.
