Top 3 Reasons To Join Us 100% remote, work from anywhere in Vietnam Build an AI-augmented team from the ground up Modern greenfield stack, no legacy mess The Job Kitchen Warehouse is one of Australia's largest specialty kitchenware retailers, and we are building our internal engineering function to take full ownership of our e-commerce platform (Next.js, CommerceTools, headless architecture). This is a greenfield automation role. You will build our test automation foundation from the ground up. We run an AI-augmented engineering team. You will not just write tests, you will train and tune AI agents that generate and extend test coverage, working alongside Claude-powered code review and test generation in our CI pipeline. If you want to shape how quality engineering and AI work together, this is the role. What you will do: Build our end-to-end and unit test infrastructure from scratch using Cypress and/or Playwright Write critical-path E2E tests for core journeys: browse, search, product detail, cart, checkout, payment, confirmation Establish unit testing patterns with Jest and React Testing Library on a Next.js and TypeScript codebase Own the testing stages of our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline (test runners, coverage reporting, quality gates) Train and refine our AI test generation agent: review its output, improve prompts, correct patterns Define our test strategy, coverage targets, and testing standards Build test data, mocking, and environment strategies, including testing payment and fraud flows without hitting live APIs Your Skills and Experience Must have: 3+ years of test automation experience for web applications Strong hands-on Cypress or Playwright (both is a plus) Experience testing Next.js / React applications Comfortable writing TypeScript Solid understanding of API testing and mocking strategies Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred) Good written English for a remote-first, distributed team Nice to have: Experience with AI-assisted testing tools or LLM-based workflows Visual regression testing (Percy, Chromatic) Performance testing experience Exposure to headless commerce (CommerceTools, Shopify, or BigCommerce) Why You'll Love Working Here Greenfield ownership: you build the automation foundation and set the standard AI-augmented from day one: hands-on with Claude-powered agents in a modern toolchain Fully remote, flexible hours, collaborative distributed engineering team Direct access to engineering leadership; your decisions shape the platform Modern stack: Next.js, TypeScript, CommerceTools, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud
