Remote Pricing Data Scientist

Salary: $191000 - 223000 per year Requirements: We are seeking 10+ years of progressive experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative analysis, with a strong record of using data-driven insights to influence pricing, promotions, or commercial decisions in retail or e-commerce. We require direct retail or e-commerce experience. We look for hands-on experience building and applying analytical or data science models using large, real-world datasets while partnering closely with business stakeholders. We value prior exposure to pricing strategy, experimentation, or promotional measurement in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. We need a strong quantitative foundation with proven experience designing, developing, and deploying Python-based data science models, including production workflows, to support pricing, promotions, or commercial decision-making. We require advanced SQL and Python skills, with the ability to independently extract, transform, model, and analyze large datasets end to end. We expect excellent communication skills. We prefer experience deploying, monitoring, or operationalizing pricing or predictive models in a production analytics or machine learning environment, such as Databricks, scheduled pipelines, or decision-support workflows. Responsibilities: We own end-to-end pricing analytics, modeling, and measurement in close partnership with our Pricing organization, supporting both day-to-day pricing decisions and longer-term strategy refinement. We build, validate, and maintain applied pricing models such as elasticity, incrementality, and sensitivity tiers, balancing statistical rigor with real-world constraints and imperfect data. We design and run measurement approaches for pricing tests and promotions, including A/B testing and quasi-experimental methods, while accounting for seasonality, halo effects, and cannibalization. We lead competitive pricing analysis, including validation of external pricing data, imputation methods for incomplete coverage, and ongoing quality monitoring to strengthen confidence in our insights. We translate complex analytical findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations for pricing leadership and senior executives, highlighting implications, tradeoffs, and next steps. We partner closely with BI Analytics and Data Engineering to shape pricing datasets, support data modeling where needed, and ensure our analytical outputs are scalable and reusable. We independently develop analytical workflows using SQL and Python, moving fluidly between data exploration, modeling, and insight generation with minimal guidance. We contribute to pricing dashboards and recurring analytical deliverables for our Pricing team, prioritizing clarity, usability, and decision relevance over visual polish. We continuously improve our pricing measurement frameworks as the business evolves, balancing speed, accuracy, and practicality in a fast-moving global environment. We help deploy, monitor, or operationalize pricing and predictive models within production analytics or machine learning environments.
