Radar Systems Engineer

Salary: $102,000 - 147,000 per year Requirements: We need 4+ years of experience. We need experience supporting systems engineering work, including requirements development, specification management, systems integration, and design verification. We need the ability to develop, analyze, and maintain system requirements, interface documentation, and engineering baselines while preserving traceability across the program lifecycle. Experience with radar systems, sensor technologies, Navy combat systems, or other complex defense platforms is preferred. We need experience using engineering models and simulations to evaluate system performance, validate requirements, and inform engineering decisions. We need experience planning, coordinating, or conducting system testing, analyzing performance data, and supporting laboratory or integration test efforts. We need familiarity with MBSE tools, processes, and methodologies used to support system design and integration. We need the ability to work closely with government engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support system integration, technical reviews, and program execution. We require an active Secret clearance. We require U.S. citizenship. We require a minimum BS/BA in a STEM field from an accredited college or university. An ABET-accredited engineering degree is acceptable in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering. A bachelors degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics is also acceptable. Responsibilities: We will develop and carry out systems engineering plans. We will create and maintain system requirements, specifications, and interface documentation. We will support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and hardware/software allocation. We will perform modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis. We will participate in system integration, verification, and testing activities. We will develop test plans and analyze system performance using MATLAB and laboratory tools. We are seeking a technical team member to support SPY-6 radar engineering capabilities for the U.S. Navy, with work focused on systems engineering, radar performance, signal processing, and integration across the system lifecycle. This role includes travel to Moorestown, NJ and Wallops Island for testing support, plus occasional local travel to the Navy Yard or Quantico, VA, with a likely maximum of five trips per year. Compensation is projected at $102,000 to $147,000 annually, depending on experience, education, clearance, location, skills, and other factors.
