System Administrator

Salary: $75,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements: We require at least three years of experience carrying out many of the duties outlined for this role. We require experience assessing Risk Management Framework compliance, including Security Technical Implementation Guide and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution scanning. We require a certification in either a Windows or Linux operating environment. We require an active Secret clearance. We require the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance after starting. We require U.S. citizenship. We prefer a bachelors degree in a technical discipline. Responsibilities: We provide engineering solutions for a wide range of unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility. We deploy and support physical and virtual infrastructure, including virtual machines and containers. We perform routine maintenance and configuration updates on physical and virtual hosts. We install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across servers, workstations, and IT equipment. We maintain backups and disaster recovery plans. We manage user accounts and access permissions. We deploy and maintain software applications. We troubleshoot technical issues and provide customer support, from issue resolution to best-practice guidance. We secure information systems and applications in line with current Department of Defense guidance. We maintain system configuration and security posture through continuous monitoring and routine security reporting. We contribute to project planning using Agile methods. We provide networking support for on-premises infrastructure. We maintain documentation, including knowledge base entries, incident response actions, and system configuration records. This full-time, on-site System Administrator role is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, Maryland, and supports a government software hosting environment. The position is future funded and is not expected to begin before September 1, 2026.
