PyTorch Engineer

Salary: $69000 - 101000 per year Requirements: We need strong experience in performance testing, including analysis of test results, server statistics, bottleneck identification, tuning, and recommendations. We need proficiency in Python. We need scripting capability in Shell, PowerShell, and Python. Responsibilities: We design and implement high-intensity stress workloads using PyTorch and Triton. We exercise core MAIA execution paths, including compute, memory, DMA, and collectives. We develop PyTorch workloads that stress model-level execution, such as large GEMMs, attention patterns, MoE-like behavior, mixed precision, and long-running loops. We author custom Triton kernels to pressure hardware execution units, memory hierarchies, and synchronization paths. We build parameterized stress harnesses that scale by problem size, number of devices, and runtime duration. We integrate workloads with our existing profiling, monitoring, and failure-triage tools. We collaborate with platform, firmware, and SDK teams to address known risk areas and emerging issues. We document usage patterns and provide reproducible scripts for lab and CI environments. We develop and maintain a reusable library of PyTorch stress workloads. We create Triton-based microkernels and macrokernels for stress and saturation testing. We build and support test harnesses and scripts for single-device and multi-device execution. We ensure workload designs align with platform risk areas and new hardware-software issues. We provide clear documentation covering workload intent, configuration options, and expected stress behavior. We deliver reproducible, scalable testing solutions for lab and continuous integration use.
