Principal Data Engineer

📋 Description Lead platform modernization; migrate pipelines; improve CI/CD and developer experience. Drive infra and FinOps across Snowflake, Dagster, and dbt; reduce cost and improve governance. Own platform evolution projects to make data consumable by agentic tools and orchestrate analytics. Design and deliver complex, domain-critical data products for analysts, data scientists, and product teams. Architect reusable patterns for modeling, orchestration, and transformation; balance cost and maintainability. Lead technical planning across cross-functional teams and break down large data initiatives. 🎯 Requirements 8+ years in data or analytics engineering owning complex systems end-to-end. Hands-on AWS and modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, Databricks, Terraform). Led platform migrations, deprecations, or upgrades with risk and maintainability in mind. Design secure, reusable data ingestion and access patterns; partner with Infra/Sec. DevOps for data (CI/CD), data governance, or FinOps.
