Network Test Automation Engineer

Salary: $196000 - 196000 per year Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant area with over 6 years of pertinent experience In-depth understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, SNMP, and VLAN (802.1Q) configuration Proficient in Python and Bash scripting with demonstrated expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., pytest) Familiarity with network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, tcpdump, traceroute, and ethtool Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience with the ability to troubleshoot across the entire OSI stack Responsibilities: Design and uphold Python-based test automation frameworks for Ethernet compliance, integration, and performance evaluation Create PCAP/tcpdump utilities and fault injection scripts for validating ARP, ICMP, FCS, link-loss, and failure recovery scenarios Set up and oversee VLAN-segmented (802.1Q) topologies across testing environments, including power supplies, DAQ systems, and relay controls Confirm compatibility between network switches and sensors, ensuring adherence to security and PPAP standards for Ethernet ECUs Maintain technical documentation for frameworks, testing strategies, and system configurations Technologies: Bash CI/CD DevOps Ethernet Hardware Network Python Security TCP/IP pytest More: We are a leading company in Ethernet systems and automotive technology, currently on the lookout for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our innovative Advanced Hardware Engineering team in Foster City, CA.
