About the role

Job Description Summary The Technical Field Advisor III (TFA) provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and nuclear power plants for their Turbine Generator Systems. Responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID's, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labor, tools, and materials as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. The primary responsibility of the TFA III is to safely accomplish the maintenance and repair of the various equipment used in power generation applications. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our Steam Power vision and align with our organization's core values. This position is within Steam Power Nuclear Services team. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Fulfill contract responsibilities for designated and qualified skill set (Steam Turbine Mechanical, and Generator) Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures utilizing the latest electronic communication, references, and documentation technologies. Recognize, Predict, and document potential failures and future outage recommendations Working knowledge of prints/print reading, such as manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic drawings Participate as a Service Team member dedicated to Safety metrics. Pre-outage planning; possibly recommending and administering policies and procedures Lead execution and oversight of projects under the TFA's core competency Execute project management and technical leader duties. Support warranty administration and troubleshooting issues Perform other duties as assigned Support business needs when not on field assignment Willingness and ability to travel as required by field assignments Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities across North America Required Qualifications Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Field Services role Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant equipment installation/commissioning 3+ year of demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required Ability and willingness to travel 80% across North America (Canada - United States - Mexico) Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities across North America Must be physically able to walk 5 miles per day, climb ladders and lift 20 lbs. Desired Characteristics: Qualified level. Has the knowledge and skill to actively support an outage and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise. Has experienced successful installations and outages of steam turbines and generator. Hands-on experience and on GE, Alstom, Siemens, or any other OEM steam turbine maintenance is preferred Good attitude to manage relationships with customers, concerning technical and contractual aspects. Follow up all quality aspects according to Keystone AI QA manual and procedures. Working knowledge and application of EHS rules. Effective communication to HQs, through company e-tools Good organizational, project management, oral/written communication, interpersonal/leadership skills Good business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customer For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between 78,800.00 - 131,200.00 USD Annual. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
