Lead Java Engineer

Salary: $90,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements: We need 6+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise applications with Java and modern software engineering practices. We need strong experience designing and delivering distributed systems, microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven applications. We need experience building cloud-native solutions and deploying on cloud platforms, with Google Cloud Platform preferred. We need experience supporting mission-critical production systems, troubleshooting complex problems, and leading incident resolution. We need experience working with highly regulated data and applying security controls, including authentication, encryption, authorization, and OWASP-aligned practices. We need deep Java and Spring ecosystem expertise, including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data. We need familiarity with cloud and container technologies such as GCP, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments. We need experience with CI/CD and development tooling, including Maven, Git, SonarQube, deployment automation, and testing frameworks. We need experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, WireMock, and TestContainers. Preferred experience includes integrating AI/LLM solutions, RAG architectures, AI agents, or AI-enabled automation. Preferred experience includes Google Cloud Spanner or other globally distributed databases. Preferred experience includes designing multi-region and multi-cloud architectures. Preferred knowledge of SRE concepts, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and operational readiness. Preferred certifications in Architecture, Cloud, Kubernetes, Security, or SRE. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and support large-scale Java-based enterprise applications and global platforms. We lead the architecture and implementation of cloud-native, microservices-based solutions using modern engineering practices. We build high-volume, low-latency applications that meet demanding availability and performance targets. We design and develop REST APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems that support global business operations. We provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices across the team. We implement CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, and software quality practices throughout the development lifecycle. We strengthen platform reliability through monitoring, observability, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. We apply security best practices, secure coding standards, and data protection controls in highly sensitive environments. We use AI-assisted development tools and integrate AI-powered capabilities where appropriate to improve productivity and solutions.
