Lead Engineer

Salary: $238000 - 306000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline, along with five years of experience in a test engineer or similar role. Of that experience, three years must include each of the following: PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, Informatica, SSIS package data testing, big data and Hive data testing, Python and Spark, AWS S3, ETL and data warehouse concepts and testing, GIT package creation, and Testing Maturity Model and SDLC leadership. We also require two years of Databricks experience. Responsibilities: We lead a hands-on engineering team and contribute directly to manual and automated testing for data and analytics initiatives. We define, implement, and advance our data and analytics strategy across the organization. We research and present practical testing approaches for active projects. We partner with development and product leaders to align with the technology and product roadmap. We identify gaps, process enhancements, goals, and hiring needs, then help execute the plan. We work across our data landscape and data movement efforts within Career Distribution. We build features using our existing automation test framework and node.js-based infrastructure. We mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership. We apply expertise in data testing and ETL, including live data streams. We use Power BI, Informatica, SSIS, data modeling, data design, data management, Spark, Python, and AWS. We own data framework architecture, migration strategy, and production performance monitoring. We ensure accuracy of the ongoing reporting layer for CRM Book of Business. We analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support software solutions and the infrastructure behind them. We set the direction for metadata, completeness, data quality, transformation, incremental, performance, and regression testing within the Book of Business domain. We implement Python and Spark enhancements each PI by tracing test sets and test cases in XRAY. We develop, review, and debug T-SQL, SSIS packages, SSAS cubes, and Power BI reports with advanced row-level security for integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. We operate in Agile and DevOps environments. We coordinate performance testing, security testing, and environment management across multiple integrated data streams. We build CI/CD pipelines in GIT from the ground up, including quality gates that pull tests from JIRA.
