Lead Data Scientist, Fraud Modelling

📋 Description Lead Data Scientist for Fraud & Risk in Cape Town DS team. Research, develop and deploy ML models to detect fraud across attribution and partner risk. Build scalable production systems to address traditional and emerging fraud threats. Explore graph-based fraud detection and graph databases for relationships. Collaborate with Product, Compliance and Trust & Safety to monitor trends. 🎯 Requirements 5+ years in data science/ML; 2+ years in fraud/risk in production. Fraud & risk domain expertise: building and deploying fraud models. Technical: Python and SQL; scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM. Feature engineering; model evaluation (ROC/AUC, PR); imbalanced data. Production ML workflows: versioning, monitoring, A/B testing, retraining.
