Lead AI Engineer with ML expertise

Salary: $237000 - 295000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus at least 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Masters degree in the same fields plus at least 2 years of experience in this area. Minimum of 4 years programming experience using Python, Go, Scala, or Java. 6 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud) is preferred. Experience in designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining AI services. Proficiency in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies (e.g. LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, Guardrails, Memory) using programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang. Familiarity with optimizing training and inference software to enhance hardware utilization, reduce latency, increase throughput, and lessen costs. Enthusiasm for remaining updated on the latest AI research and effectively applying innovative techniques in production environments. Responsibilities: Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform both employee functions and customer interactions with Northwind Robotics. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability. Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies like AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch, among others. Innovate and implement cutting-edge LLM optimization methods to enhance the efficiency - scalability, cost-effectiveness, latency, throughput - of large-scale AI production systems. Contribute to the technical strategy and long-term planning for foundational AI systems at Northwind Robotics.
