Senior AI Engineer (Gen AI Platform)

Salary: $248000 - 309000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in AI and ML algorithm development or a Masters degree with at least 4 years of experience in the same domain. A minimum of 6 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java. 7 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar private cloud). Experienced in designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting intricate AI systems. Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders across various functions. Familiarity with developing AI and ML algorithms (e.g., LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, Guardrails, Memory) using programming languages like Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang. Skilled in utilizing state-of-the-art techniques to enhance training and inference software for improved hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost. Strong commitment to staying updated with the latest AI research and systems, and applying innovative techniques in production. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, enabling the clear articulation of complex AI concepts to peers. Responsibilities: Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that improve associate workflows and customer interactions with Cobalt Streamworks. Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability. Utilize a comprehensive array of open-source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch, and more. Innovate and implement advanced optimization techniques for large-scale production AI systems to enhance performance, scalability, cost-effectiveness, latency, and throughput. Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy of foundational AI systems at Cobalt Streamworks.
