Salary: $73,160 - 115,000 per year Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of the customer. A bachelors degree in a related discipline and three years of professional experience, preferably in a Department of Defense environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Background in geospatial intelligence. Experience with requirements development, production and deployment, operations and support, architecture development and implementation, modeling and simulation (including Model-Based Systems Engineering principles), verification and validation, technical data package development and sustainment, and configuration management. Experience with network architectures, embedded systems, and application deployment across varied systems and hardware, including cloud deployment and virtualization. Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, including technology maturation, risk reduction, engineering and manufacturing development, and production and deployment. Familiarity with electronic warfare and/or air combat operations, including live aircrew training, tactics, techniques and procedures development, and range infrastructure architectures and systems. Familiarity with foreign ground radar. Responsibilities: Provide systems engineering support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through development, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, and operations. Support requirements development, architecture design, systems integration, verification and validation, technical management, and digital engineering activities. Conduct systems engineering reviews, technical assessments, and trade studies to evaluate performance, cost, schedule, risk, and technical effectiveness. Develop, maintain, and manage system requirements, technical baselines, architectures, and interface documentation. Translate operational and user needs into system and subsystem requirements using approved DoD and Air Force acquisition processes. Support architecture development and analysis using traditional systems engineering methods, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and digital engineering approaches. Help plan and conduct technical reviews, including System Requirements Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Technology Readiness Assessments, and related engineering activities. Support risk, configuration, technical data, requirements, and interface management. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans, Risk Management Plans, Analyses of Alternatives, technical reports, and acquisition artifacts. Conduct engineering analyses related to interoperability, cloud deployment, virtualization, network architectures, and systems integration. Support proposal evaluations, market research, and technical assessments of contractor solutions. Participate in Integrated Product Teams and provide technical recommendations to government leadership. Support logistics, sustainment, reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle support planning. Collaborate with government and contractor teams to help ensure systems meet operational requirements and advance modernization in complex command-and-control environments. The division provides lifecycle support for programs including the U-2, E-8C JSTARS, Air Force Distributed Common Ground System, and Integrated Broadcast Service. Our Global Network Systems Branch is based at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts and supports programs such as AF DCGS Network Infrastructure Transformation, the Extended Tether Program, and GCCS-AF infrastructure. This is a full-time position at Hanscom AFB. The proposed salary range is $73,160–$115,000, with compensation influenced by factors such as location, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
