IT Application Development Manager - POS

Salary: $123,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Familiarity with retail store systems, such as point-of-sale systems, store portals, workforce management tools, or store-level mobile applications, is preferred but not required. Working knowledge of web and mobile application development, backend services, APIs, system integrations, data feeds, and ETL processes is preferred but not required. Experience supporting business-critical, highly integrated systems is preferred but not required. Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery models and SDLC best practices is preferred but not required. General understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and enterprise architecture considerations, is preferred but not required. Responsibilities: Manage application development initiatives from intake and prioritization through requirements gathering, delivery, and deployment. Lead and coordinate internal employees, consultants, systems integrators, and hardware and software vendors. Provide oversight and technical direction for application development, integrations, and deployments. Develop scalable, reliable enterprise solutions designed to support future growth. Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives, identifying risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. Coordinate store technology deployments while minimizing disruption to store operations. Manage budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts, and change orders. Monitor vendor delivery commitments, service-level agreements, and financial controls. Improve processes, delivery quality, and operational stability. Coach and develop team members, manage performance, and plan resources. The role partners with our Information Technology organization, other Support Center teams, and third-party vendors to deliver and continually improve store systems. This is a full-time, onsite position at our Store Support Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. We provide relocation assistance for candidates outside the Hampton Roads area. The role involves at least 10% travel for project events, conferences, and onsite meetings as needed. The projected salary range is $123,000–$150,000, with an annual bonus opportunity of 20% plus other incentives.
