Salary: 32.500 - 52.500 € per year Requirements: Currently enrolled Bachelor or Master student in a STEM field, with enrollment valid for the entire internship duration Available as of 1 October 2026 Good command of English as a working language Hands-on experience with the Python programming language Responsibilities: Collaboratively develop plugins for our control system, known as devices, that implement specific functionality or interface to hardware Write and execute tests for our software Design and implement user interfaces Participate in commissioning of our software Engage in code review within our group Technologies: Hardware Support Python More: We are European XFEL, an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. As part of the BSBF international traineeship scheme, we are looking for an intern starting in October 2026. The working place will be Schenefeld in the Hamburg metropolitan area.
