Project Overview: We are building high performing teams to deliver complex EPC heavy civil project and looking for motivated, hands-on, collaborative innovators, doers, and problem solvers. The projects are hydro power generation with scopes including roadway development, significant structures including dams, spillways, tunnel waterways, inlet/outlet structures, hydromechanical equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and site facilities and buildings. Job Summary: The High Voltage (HV) Electrical Lead will be responsible for engineering, coordination, and technical oversight of the HV electrical network that includes the 500 kV system, GSU transformers, 18 kV Isophase Bus, Generator Circuit Breaker and Current Limiting Reactors. The role supports EPC execution through design development, interface management, constructability, and construction/commissioning support for a large, hydropower facility comprising underground powerhouse, shafts, tunnels, intake/outlet works, and surface facilities, in accordance with customer requirements, applicable codes, and project engineering procedures. A key part of this role is collaboration with JV partner, Design subcontractor and the Customer. The Senior Electrical Engineer shall work with the team to establish regular meetings with the design subcontractor and other external stakeholders as required and reporting cycles for managing, coordinating, and assuring the design. The HV Electrical Lead will be a solid leader and collaborator who will be the primary interface with various Owner Furnish Equipment (OFE) suppliers including HV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 138kV Power Transformers, and 35kV Switchgear. In this role, you will utilize individual technical knowledge to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate with the OFE suppliers for execution scope. You will participate in coordination meetings, project planning, monitoring the schedule, and delivery of critical equipment to ensure that the suppliers are on track to meet the project schedule. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget. In this role, you will have oversight of all aspects of the scope being executed by the OFE suppliers and coordinate with the Meridian Softworks team to ensure that any input needed by OFE suppliers are being provided in a timely manner. You will participate in technical reviews with the OFE suppliers for critical deliverables. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities: • Review conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for S HV electrical systems prepared by the design subcontractor and vendor, • Electrical interfaces between the various equipment. • Coordinate electrical designs with: Civil / Geotechnical, Mechanical, Control Systems / I&C and Plant Design and Constructability • Interface with OEMs (turbine generator supplier, auxiliary equipment vendors) for electrical integration into powerhouse systems. • Support and management of electrical interfaces between: Powerhouse and switchyard / transmission tie in, Underground works and surface facilities and Permanent and temporary construction power • Provide Construction & Commissioni
