The role Our Growth Data Science & Analytics function sits at the heart of Cobalt Streamworks and owns Cobalt Streamworks’s growth framework - answering questions like: where are our biggest opportunities, what's constraining our growth, and where should we invest next? We're looking for an experienced data leader to cover maternity leave for our Growth Data Science & Analytics Lead. This is an ex-co facing leadership role: you'll manage a team of three embedded data scientists & analysts, own the analytics roadmap across our business verticals, and be the senior data voice in cross-functional and ExCo-level conversations. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact interim leadership role in a fast-growing, data-rich marketplace business. What you’ll be doing in the role Team leadership & project oversight Lead and manage a team of three embedded data scientists & analysts Own weekly planning, prioritisation, and delivery oversight across the team's workstreams Act as line manager and primary point of escalation, supporting individual contributor development and day-to-day work Manage intake processes and stakeholder expectations across business verticals Stakeholder & ExCo reporting Serve as the senior analytics partner to the Executive Committee, presenting data-led insights on marketplace health, revenue performance, and growth Own and maintain key reporting surface across our BI infrastructure Translate complex analytical findings into clear, measured narratives for senior audiences Build trusted relationships with cross-functional partners across all functions What you’ll bring to the role Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading a data and analytics team, ideally in a marketplace or platform business & experience managing and developing analysts and data scientists at different seniority levels Commercial Instinct: Strong commercial instincts — you understand how data connects to business outcomes and can communicate that to non-technical leaders Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to or advising executive teams Analytical Rigor: Hands-on SQL proficiency — comfortable getting into the detail when needed Comfortable picking up mid-flight work and operating without a long handover runway Prior experience in a scale-up or growth-stage company is a plus Why Cobalt Streamworks is a great place to work We've built a unique platform that connects researchers and companies with a global pool of participants, enabling the collection of high-quality, ethically sourced human behavioral data and feedback.
