We’re hiring a Data Science Manager, Supply Marketplace to lead this space. This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of Ironwood Digital’s marketplace. You will build and lead the team responsible for the science, models, and decision systems that shape participant marketplace health, from growth and activation to allocation, engagement, quality, and long-term retention. What you'll be doing You will define the technical direction for Supply Data Science and lead the analytical and lead the roadmap for models, experiments, and decision systems that help Ironwood Digital scale participant supply responsibly. You will work across participant acquisition, onboarding, liquidity, matching, quality, engagement, and retention, ensuring we can meet rapidly growing demand without degrading participant experience or data integrity. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and company leadership to turn complex marketplace problems into clear scientific questions, measurable hypotheses, and scalable solutions. You will lead applied science work across areas such as forecasting, experimentation, causal inference, marketplace measurement, matching, ranking, allocation, optimization, and quality modelling. You will help build and grow a high-performing team, setting technical standards, mentoring scientists, and creating a strong culture of rigorous, practical, product-oriented science. What you'll bring We’re looking for a strong technical lead who can grow into or operate as a people manager. This could be someone taking on their first formal management role, provided they bring strong technical depth, sound judgement, and a track record of leading high-impact applied science work. You should have strong experience in experimentation, causal inference, statistical modelling, forecasting, marketplace science, or product analytics. Experience with marketplace or platform problems is highly relevant, especially where supply-demand dynamics, liquidity, matching, user behaviour, trust, or quality are central. Experience leading algorithmic work such as matching, ranking, optimization, allocation, quality modelling, or decision systems would be especially valuable. You should be comfortable setting technical direction, influencing product strategy, partnering closely with engineering, and communicating complex trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
