Full Stack Developer (Node.js) Location: Manila, Philippines — Remote Employment Type: Contract Duration: 12 months+ Experience Level: Senior About the Role We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer (Node.js) to join a growing engineering team focused on building modern, scalable software solutions that deliver meaningful business value and exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will work across the full technology stack, designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud-native applications and custom software solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Business, and QA teams and have the opportunity to contribute to architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications from concept through production. Build scalable web applications using Node.js, React, and Next.js . Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations. Design and optimize solutions using both relational and NoSQL databases. Build applications with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability. Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and code reviews. Collaborate with QA teams to develop automated testing and quality assurance practices. Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps initiatives, and cloud-based deployments. Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve productivity and code quality. Create and maintain clear technical documentation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve existing applications and services. What You Bring 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong professional experience with Node.js, React, and Next.js . Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale web applications. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript . Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs and microservices . Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB . Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices. Experience with Git or other source control systems. Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments. Knowledge of automated testing and test-driven development practices. Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity and workflows. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a distributed engineering team. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing microservices and distributed systems . Experience building custom software products from the ground up. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes . Familiarity with application monitoring, observability, logging, and performance optimization. Experience working with high-volume or highly scalable applications. Experience mentoring junior developers or contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
