Firmware Validation Engineer

Salary: $182000 - 182000 per year Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering or a related discipline with over 6 years of experience in the automotive sector or a comparable field. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to hardware, software, and firmware components. Familiarity with automotive actuator controls and validation techniques. Experience in employing diverse testing methodologies and creating HIL test assets. Understanding of automotive program development, release protocols, and long-term scheduling. Responsibilities: Create and uphold detailed technical specifications for brake and steering sub-systems through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. Assist in developing diagnostic scripts and tools to improve validation procedures. Work alongside suppliers to customize test plans, validate firmware modifications, and conduct regression testing to meet project deadlines. Oversee resolution of firmware defects with suppliers and conduct impact assessments using system design and architecture knowledge. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision, and Robotics, to drive innovation and continuous enhancement.
