Embedded Software Engineer

Major Japanese Medical Device Manufacturer Responsibilities: Understand client requirements Design & development of embedded software application including GUI for medical devices. Verification and validation of developed software. Communication and security requirements analysis, specification creation Design and verification of CPU and middleware software Adhere regulatory standards and guidelines for medical product development The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and attention to detail, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a range of stakeholders. Requirements (Must Have): Bachelor's degree in relevant field with bilingual capability (Japanese and English) 3+ Years of Embedded software development experience in medical domain. Strong knowledge of Embedded C and have good analytical skills. Experience in embedded software design and development using OS/RTOS on MCU/SoCs. Experience in embedded GUI development. Good at designing system architecture, implementation, unit testing, verification and validation. Experience in developing embedded software for sensor control and motor control. In-depth understanding of different communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB etc. Good understanding of OS concepts, multithread applications, IPC mechanisms, scheduling and memory management Basic knowledge of Hardware with respect to board bring-up and diagnostics. Experience with hardware debugging tools and interface like JTAG, SWD. Good interpersonal communication (both Japanese and English) skills and experience in collaborating with the team. Client handling and coordination with offshore development team Providing technical guidance to the development team, mentoring and guiding engineers, and being a role model for technical excellence. Good to Have: Familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines for medical product development (IEC 62304, IEC62366, IEC 60601-1-6, ISO 14971) Prior experience as bridge engineer between onsite and offshore.
