DevOps Engineer

Salary: $100000 - 144000 per year Requirements: A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience Experience building and supporting production backend services in a modern language such as Python, Go, Java, or C# Experience designing, implementing, and running REST APIs in production Experience deploying and operating containerized services in Kubernetes Experience working across teams to deliver software from initial design through production Must be a U.S. citizen Responsibilities: Build the internal AI Factory as our primary product, focusing on the platform itself Develop robust back-end services, intuitive front-end interfaces, and well-defined API contracts that support AI/ML teams deploying GenAI and MLOps workloads at scale Design, implement, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs for AI model orchestration and resource management Deliver end-to-end features, including responsive React/Next.js front ends and scalable Python/Go back-end services Collaborate on AI platform architecture and governance so our internal services are modular, easy to discover, and able to support LLM, RAG, and agentic workflows Integrate AI coding assistants and custom LLM agents into our development process to automate repetitive work, generate tests, and perform initial code reviews Create middleware that connects Kubernetes infrastructure with user-facing applications while simplifying complexity for end users Optimize data flow between front-end dashboards, back-end metadata stores such as PostgreSQL and Redis, and GPU-accelerated compute clusters Technologies: AI API Backend C# Flow Support Java Kubernetes LLM PostgreSQL Python REST React Redis Security Backbone Cursor DevOps More: We are Halcyon Labss Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC), and we are building our internal AI Factory in a platform-focused engineering role.
