Development Operations Engineer

Salary: $121,000 - 161,000 per year Requirements: We look for experience building large-scale enterprise architecture solutions, including security, high availability, multi-platform environments, hardware considerations, network design, monitoring, virtualization, performance tuning, capacity planning, and information management practices. We value experience with AWS and cloud architecture. We value experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and New Relic. We look for familiarity with Splunk. We value experience with containers and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. We look for knowledge of development methodologies and Python development experience. We value knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools and approaches, such as CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform. We look for experience with CI/CD and configuration management tools and technologies, including Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and Jenkins. We value experience working in agile environments such as Kanban or Scrum, along with familiarity with JIRA. We require a BA or BS degree. An Amazon Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect certification at Associate level or above is a plus. Responsibilities: We deploy applications through automated CI/CD pipelines. We develop and maintain infrastructure as code. We design highly available and cost-effective architectures. We monitor, alert on, and support production environments to keep systems stable and operational. We provide off-hours support when needed to troubleshoot mission-critical applications and act on root cause analysis findings. We work with multiple business units to prototype new ideas and emerging technologies, helping create solutions that drive innovation. We recommend solutions that align with business needs and requirements. We provide configuration guidance and hands-on assistance. We help develop detailed project specifications and implementation plans. We contribute to the central cloud architecture team to benefit Verisk as a whole.
