Computer Engineer

Salary: $81000 - 138000 per year Requirements: We require an active Secret clearance, with eligibility to obtain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information access. We require U.S. citizenship to secure the necessary clearance. We want experience across the embedded hardware product lifecycle, including design, testing, and integration. We look for proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium. We need experience writing embedded firmware for microprocessors. We value containerization experience with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. We prefer strong independent work habits and the ability to manage priorities without close supervision. We look for effective written and verbal communication across functions. We value detail-oriented professionals who solve problems proactively and adapt to shifting workloads. We require a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline; a masters degree is preferred. We need the physical capability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities: We evaluate, analyze, and develop integrated systems that combine hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure. We turn high-level needs into end-to-end engineering designs. We perform technical trade studies to weigh risk, cost, and benefit when making design decisions. We design and integrate custom electrical circuits and durable mechanical packaging. We develop bare-metal C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers using a test-driven approach. We manage source code and configuration through GitLab. We may also build full-stack applications using SQL, C++ services, and React/Next.js. We carry out developmental testing and assess solution performance. We follow configuration management and documentation standards throughout the program. We work primarily in an office or lab environment with minimal travel.
