Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $136000 - 199000 per year Requirements: We require at least ten years of experience in software and systems engineering activities. We require experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software. We require an active Secret clearance. We may require the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance after starting. We require U.S. citizenship. We require a bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program. Responsibilities: We develop and maintain software requirements. We review and assess vendor software specifications. We coordinate with vendors on software and system integration. We analyze software defects and troubleshoot issues. We work with cybersecurity subject matter experts. We participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews, including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, and related events. We support the Engineering Change Proposal process. We contribute to Agile and SAFe team workflows. We prepare and review Statements of Work and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists. We develop Independent Government Cost Estimates. We assist with technical evaluations of contractor proposals. We are hiring a mid- to senior-level software-focused Systems Engineer to support the acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, Maryland. This is a full-time onsite role, and the position is future funded with an anticipated start date no earlier than September 1, 2026.
