Automation Engineer, RME, DAB

Salary: $111000 - 138000 per year Requirements: We need a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a closely related field, or at least 2 years of experience in PLC programming or automation engineering We need the ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays We need experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting PLC-based control systems We prefer experience with material handling, flow, and capacity management We prefer experience with industrial control systems, including both hardware and software Responsibilities: We serve as the site specialist for maintaining the automation systems that are essential to operations We partner with building operations, operations engineering, FC start-up, AFT software, ACES, and safety teams to support MHE optimization and project delivery We maintain, troubleshoot, and improve material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems We monitor MHE performance metrics and work with maintenance and operations teams to resolve system issues and analyze results across the site We provide first-line escalation support to site technicians, both on-site and remotely We lead failure analysis and incident review activities to support continuous improvement We conduct and evaluate building system assessments to strengthen material handling system performance We communicate technical concerns and project schedules clearly to building leaders, operations teams, and maintenance staff Technologies: Flow Hardware Support PLC Robotics Ethernet Profibus More: We are Amazon Operations, where speed, precision, and customer service are at the center of everything we do.
